Come along on an all-inclusive week long escape to a private ocean view resort on the Samana Peninsula in the Dominican Republic.
Immerse yourself in your yoga practice, snorkel with tropical fish, explore local beaches, dive into caves and, of course, bask in the Dominican sunshine.
Relax and recenter with two daily yoga practices created to fit your body and pace. We will flow through a rejuvenating morning Vinyasa practice and a soulful evening restorative practice to reconnect and unwind - the perfect bookends to each day of our week long escape.
Every morning we will watch the sun rise over the ocean as we practice in the open air yoga studio; and each evening we’ll watch the sun melt into the horizon while we restore and rest our bodies during our evening practice.
Begin your day energized. Our morning flow is designed to build and invigorate your practice. I teach classes to all levels by encouraging students to customize their practice with personal inspiration, while assisting other students in finding variations for their specific needs.
In the evening we will wind down with a gentle Yin practice to restore after each adventure filled day. Yin is a passive a slow practice, which invites you to rediscover the intimate connection between body, breath, and intention in your practice.
We will tour the Samana Bay by boat stopping at two breath taking snorkel destinations to watch starfish, coral, and a variety of tropical fish. Afterwards we’ll recharge on Cayo Levantado Island for a lunch buffet. Here you’ll have a chance to swim in the turquoise blue water and relax on the white sand beach until we gather to head back to our resort.
We will find caves hidden by the shore just short hike through the jungle from our resort. We will explore deep into the caves to bathe in the cool subterranean lake. These caves are exclusive to guests of The Samana Eco Resort - be one of the few to explore this secluded secret!
The popular local’s beach is a ten minute ride away from our resort. String up a hammock on the palm tress, read your favorite book, or join me for the best mojito you’ll have in your life.
Our home for the week will be a private eco-resort perched on a cliffside overlooking the ocean.
Typically our cliffside will be showered with rain in the morning gifting us a vibrant rainbow to wake up to. By the time our morning yoga class begins the sun peaks through the palm trees to radiate through the jungle. In the evening clouds slowly roll over the horizon, playing a dramatic part during sunset.
During the hot hours of the day, dip in the Infiniti pool cascading over the cliffs and, during the evenings retreat to your sanctuary nested in your own private ocean view bungalow.
Our resort also hosts an expansive maze of gardens made up of cacti, succulents, palms, ferns and other tropical flora. Tour the grounds in search of fresh aloe to soothe your sun-kissed skin. Give your footing extra attention, baby lizards and frogs might scurry across your path!
Each guest will enjoy the privacy of their own luxury bungalow - indulge in your own space in your personal oasis. Choose to retreat to your room or relax by the pool during down time, or maybe join in for an extra trip to the beach!
